From the garden, sea, and land—in tune with the season

At Hotel J, food and drink are a central part of the experience. Our head chef Henrik Wittgren creates menus where Scandinavian flavors meet international influences, with a focus on the best seasonal ingredients. Herbs from the garden and ingredients from the sea and land characterize each menu, which is shaped by feeling, season, and occasion.

Several times a year, we invite guests to enjoy unique gastronomic experiences at Tornvillan, from carefully prepared brunches and our popular Christmas buffet in collaboration with By Mathias Dahlgren to dinners in conjunction with concerts and other special occasions. Each experience is designed to harmonize with the atmosphere of Tornvillan and the changing seasons.

During the summer months, Terrassen opens, serving Swedish flavors and summer ingredients in a relaxed setting near the water. It is a natural meeting place for both neighbors in Nacka and guests arriving by boat from Lidingö or the city's quays, perfect for long lunches, dinners in the evening light, and spontaneous meetings by the bay.

A stone's throw from the hotel is Restaurant J with its open sea view. Lunch and dinner are served here all year round, and the bar is open for those who want to stop by for a drink.

In the hotel lounge, which is open every day of the week, you can sit down for a light meal, a glass of wine, or a hot cup of coffee. A place for quiet breaks and leisurely meetings, where you can enjoy your own company or let conversations take shape—with friends you came with or people you meet along the way.

A musical evening with Trio Boccherini

On January 30, we invite you to an atmospheric evening where music and gastronomy meet in the winter darkness by the bay. When the forest is at rest and the sea is still, Hotel J is filled with fantastic sounds.

Between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., the string trio Trio Boccherini will perform an intimate concert program. The trio was formed in Berlin in 2014 and consists of musicians from three continents, united in sensitive interplay and a narrative expression.

Breakfast at Tornvillan

Breakfast is served in Tornvillan consists of a buffet with homemade flavors and carefully selected ingredients, with a focus on both enjoyment and well-being. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

The Lounge

The lounge, located directly adjacent to our reception, offers light meals and selected beverages, served daily from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Restaurant J

Right on the waterfront, overlooking Blockhusudden on Djurgården and the southern shore of Lidingö, is Restaurant J. Conveniently located a short boat ride from the city, this is the place to go if you want to escape the stress of the big city, enjoy a dinner by the sea, cool drinks, and experience some of life's best moments. The cuisine is firmly rooted in Scandinavian cooking with a few more international touches, where seasonal ingredients from the sea and land are prepared with love and passion. During the summer months, the Terrassen restaurant opens, located right next to Tornvillan. Here you can enjoy Swedish flavors, herbs from the garden, and well-prepared food from both the sea and the land—all served in an environment that smells like summer. Our head chef Henrik Wittgren is responsible for the menu, and his love of ingredients and feel for the season set the tone for the gastronomic experience. An evening with us is not just dinner, it is an experience.
