1. Introduction

1.1 These terms of use ("Terms of Use") apply when you visit our website and when Hotel J provides services relating to hotel stays, conference bookings, and restaurant experiences ("Services"or "our Services").

1.2 The website www.hotelj.com and our services are operated and provided by J Nacka Strand (company registration number 556630-6667).

1.4 To use our services, you must be at least 18 years of age and otherwise eligible to enter into contracts and agree to be bound by the Terms of Use.

1.5 By using Hotel J or any of our other products or services linked to these terms and conditions, you accept these terms of use.

2. Our services

2.1 Hotel J offers individuals and companies the opportunity to enjoy unique experiences in our five-star hotel, centrally located in the heart of Stockholm, including accommodation, dining, meetings, and events.

2.2 You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use the information and personal data and, where applicable, the login details that you provide through your use of our website and services. You are also responsible for all use of our services and for protecting your login details from unauthorized access. Hotel J therefore accepts no responsibility for your use of the information you provide through our services.

2.3 Hotel J may in the future offer new solutions as part of our services. These solutions may be subject to specific terms and conditions. If you, as a user, wish to activate or otherwise take advantage of these solutions, you must, where applicable, accept the specific terms and conditions that apply to each solution.

2.4 Hotel J and its partners may send targeted offers to hotel guests and other users of our services, by email or other means. If you do not wish to receive targeted offers, you can notify Hotel J in writing. More information about this can be found in our Privacy Policy.

3. Booking

3.1 When booking a hotel room, you and we at Hotel J agree on the terms and conditions for your hotel stay. The terms and conditions are set out in these terms of use and in your booking confirmation. Special rules apply to bookings for meetings, events, and restaurants.

3.2 Hotel room reservations via our website are made through a third-party solution provided by AZDS Interactive Group / Sabre Hospitality Solutions and their booking engine SynXis. When making a reservation through SynXis, you agree to SynXis' terms of use and, where applicable, SynXis' specific terms and conditions for your reservation. As part of your booking process, you also have the option to create an account and save information for future bookings.

We at Hotel J therefore recommend that you carefully read through the terms and conditions that apply to bookings made through SynXis.

3.3 Your booking is binding once it has been confirmed and you have received a booking number. Confirmation and booking numbers are usually provided in writing, but may also be communicated verbally, depending on the circumstances.

3.4 To book a hotel room at Hotel J, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are over 18 and sharing a hotel room with a minor, you are fully responsible for the minor's use of the hotel room and our services in general. For more information about booking hotel rooms, please contact our reservations department.

3.5 For hotel stays, our check-in and check-out times vary depending on the booking and room type. In most cases, these times are communicated via our website and in your booking confirmation. For up-to-date information regarding your booking, please contact our reservations department.

3.6 Reservations must be canceled by 6:00 p.m. (local time) one day prior to arrival to avoid being charged the total amount for the first night of your reservation, including tax. In the event that you do not show up for your reservation, a "no-show fee" will be charged, corresponding to the total amount for the first night of your reservation, including VAT.

3.7 Hotel J has a limited number of rooms where pets are allowed. We can only accept pets if you have notified us in advance and received confirmation that we have rooms available. If you would like to know more, please contact our customer service.

4. Payment

4.1 When you book our services via our website, by telephone, or on site at our hotel, you can choose to pay by debit card, credit card, or invoice. Purchases by invoice are administered by Klarna, and this service can only be used by corporate customers who have entered into a special agreement with Hotel J. When paying by debit or credit card, Adyen B.V. handles all bank transactions related to our services by verifying that your card is valid for purchases directly with your bank. Your card details are transmitted directly to your bank via Adyen's system, and we at Hotel J do not handle any debit or credit card numbers ourselves.

4.2 If you choose to pay for our services by bank or credit card, you can pay with cards from Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Diners, and Euro Card. Your card details are sent directly to your bank and cannot be read or retrieved by anyone other than your bank. All communication related to payment is encrypted according to the industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) for secure transmission over the Internet.

4.3. In addition to what is stated in section 4.2, Hotel J does not accept cash payments in Swedish kronor and is not obliged to accept other debit and credit cards, checks, vouchers, or foreign currency unless the hotel has offered to do so.

4.4 Your payment is handled by Adyen with secure encryption and in accordance with strict banking standards, known as PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). Some purchases of our services are also covered by 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode), if this security mechanism is activated on your debit or credit card.

4.5 At Hotel J, we do not charge any extra fees for card payments. However, your bank may charge an extra fee depending on the type of card and bank. If no payment has been received after you have sent your booking, the booking may be automatically canceled.

5. Availability, security, and accuracy of services

5.1 Although we strive to keep our website available at all times, we cannot be held responsible if, for any reason, the website is unavailable. We cannot therefore guarantee that your access to the website will be uninterrupted and error-free. In addition, we may occasionally need to carry out repairs and maintenance on the website, which may affect its availability and functionality.

5.2 Access to the website may be suspended at any time for you personally, as well as for all other users, temporarily or permanently and without notice. We may also impose restrictions on how any part of our services is used, without having to notify you in advance or give reasons for imposing the restrictions.

7. Respect for the rights of others

Part of our commitment to providing Sweden's best hotel experience is ensuring that all our customers feel completely secure in all their interactions with our hotel, which of course includes our website. Therefore, you may not use our website or otherwise use our services in a manner that:

  • violates or infringes upon another person's right to publicity, privacy, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • is fraudulent, criminal, or illegal;
  • may be obscene, inappropriate, pornographic, vulgar, offensive, racist, sexist, discriminatory, insulting, derogatory, harmful, harassing, frightening, disturbing, malicious, or threatening
  • pretends to be another person or misrepresents a relationship with another person;
  • includes the use, dissemination, or transmission of viruses or similar items intended to damage, disrupt, interfere with, or take control of systems, data, or personal information.
  • use trademarks, logos, designs, photographs, instructional videos, or other materials used in our services.
  • copy, archive, download, upload, distribute, transmit, perform, display, make available, or otherwise use any part of our services or the content of our services beyond what is specified in these Terms of Use.
  • use the services, any tools provided by the services, or any content in the services for any commercial purpose without the written consent of Hotel J.

8. Respect for Hotel J As we do our utmost to respect you and all other hotel guests, we would be grateful if you would also respect Hotel J's rights. By accepting these terms of use, you thereby guarantee that you will not:

10. Intellectual property rights

10.1 Unless otherwise stated, all content on the website is owned by J Nacka Strand .

10.2 The content of the website is protected in all respects by copyright, trademark law, and other intellectual property rights. Users are not granted the right to use the content of the website in any way other than in accordance with the terms of use.

10.3 Unless otherwise specified, the reproduction, publication, processing, transmission, storage, or other use of the content of the website or other material provided or communicated through our services requires the prior written consent of Hotel J.

10.4 The use of trademarks and logos appearing on the website also requires the prior written consent of Hotel J or, where applicable, other relevant rights holders.

11. Liability 11 .1 Hotel J reserves the right to deny any person access to our services at any time if that person violates the terms of use or otherwise uses the services in a manner that may cause damage to Hotel J or a third party.

11.2 Hotel J intends for all information presented to be accurate and as up-to-date as possible. However, Hotel J cannot guarantee the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the information presented in connection with our services. Hotel J therefore reserves the right to change and correct prices on all orders, including final purchases. If a price is incorrect, this may cause Hotel J to cancel the purchase and refund the amount in question in the best possible way. This can be done at any time. Thus, all liability for both direct and indirect damage caused by the use of the website or information provided by the website is excluded, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

11.3 Hotel J shall not be liable for any financial or other decisions you make based on the use of our services or for services or goods you choose to purchase from independent third parties or Hotel J's partners. Hotel J shall also not be liable for direct or indirect losses or consequential losses, including, but not limited to, the following:

Hotel J reserves the right to make improvements, changes, additions, or deletions to the website without prior notice. Furthermore, we at Hotel J reserve the right to make changes to these terms of use. By continuing to use the website after such changes have been published, you accept the changes.

13. Other

13.1 Hotel J has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions. Users of the services are not permitted to transfer their rights and obligations. Furthermore, Hotel J has the right to engage subcontractors to fulfill its obligations.

13.2 Any dispute arising from the Terms of Use or your use of our services shall be settled in a Swedish court and in accordance with Swedish law.
