Eating wild plants
A flavorful walk in the nearby, yet wild nature. Here, we focus on the plants we often pass by without noticing—such as dandelions, chickweed, plantain, and pigweed. Getting to know them opens up a new world of flavors, uses, and a deeper relationship with nature.
During the walk, Lisen Sundgren will guide you in how to identify easily accessible, edible plants, how they can be used in the kitchen, and what role they can play in health and well-being. Foraging—gathering wild plants—is both an ancient tradition and a contemporary movement in gastronomy, sustainability, and a more seasonally driven way of life.
With over 25 years of experience collecting and working with wild plants, Lisen has supplied ingredients to some of Sweden's leading restaurants and is the author of several books on the subject, including Det vilda köket (The Wild Kitchen), Vildvuxet (Wild Growth), and Äta vilda växter (Eating Wild Plants). The walk is an invitation to let your curiosity take over, be inspired, and discover the wildness that surrounds you.
